On the occasion of International Mountain Day, like previous years Nepal Mountaineering Association, International Mountain Museum celebrated 7th Mountain Festival on 10th and 11th December this year. During this event, various activities related with Mountaineering and mountain adventure were organized like; bouldering, cultural shows, chhelo competition, mountain painting competitions, Zip lining, technology show, archery, documentary shows, youth dialogues and various stalls were kept for showcasing the culture, food and traditions. The program was inaugurated by honorable Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun. During the event, Mr. Jivan Ram Shrestha, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr. Dhanraj Acharya, Mayor, Pokhara Municipality, Mr. Dhananjay Regmi, CEO, Nepal Tourism Board kept their words.
NTHMC participated this event through food stall (BHM 3rd semester students), Youth dialogue on ‘ Women move Mountains’ and a counselling desk. The students of BHM prepared and presented ethnic and contemporary delicacies to the visitors. Likewise, the students of BBA and BBA-BI (NTHMC Youth Club) showcased the college prospectus and bulletins and counselled the visitors about college and its programs. Similarly, Ms. Barsha Gurung (BHM 5th semester) became a panelist for the Youth dialogue ‘ Women move Mountains’. 3 students named Ms. Karima Ale, Ms. Akriti Gurung and Ms. Prajita Khand volunteered and supported for the entire event.
